Fantasy Timeline pt.1 (1996-2005)

Marilyn Monroe said it, and we'll say it again. Diamonds are a girl's best friend and nobody understands this better than the people over at Victoria's Secret. It’s definitely no secret that the Victoria’s Secret’s Fantasy Bras are known to be some of the most expensive and ultra glamorous pieces of lingerie with a price tag to match. The fantasy bra is the most anticipated part of the whole show as it closes the show off with a bang. This year’s show is going to be no different, if not better, with not one, but two fantasy bras worn by the brand’s most prominent faces, Adriana Lima and Allessandra Ambrosio.

With this year’s show coming up within the next 4 weeks we decided to take you through your wildest and possibly sexiest fantasy as we take a look back at all 19 Fantasy Bra designs.

The first Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra was designed in 1996, it didn’t feature in the catwalk show but was modelled by Claudia Schiffer on the cover of the brand's Christmas catalogue, as unbelievable security risk involved in showcasing an expensive item of its nature. Believe it or not, this $1million bra is the cheapest Fantasy Bra ever to have been designed by the brand in comparison the more recent lingerie sets featured in recent years.

The Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra only started being included in the catwalk show in 2001. Model, Heidi Klum, who has had the honour of modelling the Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra three times, was the first Angel to wear one of the designs on the catwalk. As much as the Fantasy Bra has been featured in the Victoria’s secret catalogue, none have actually been sold since 1996.

But enough with all the stats, let’s get right to it. Brace yourself as this post features some of the original supermodels such as Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum so things are bound to get steamy.
