Four years ago, I sat in front of the same screen. I felt the same mixture of excitement, and fear. Fear because of what may fail.
Back in 2010, at the age of 14, I created Forever Fashion on Blogspot with no idea what it would mean to me. It forged my passion and taught me that blogging aint no funny business. It’s hard work, it’s constant effort, and it’s something I’d like to succeed in.
For a while this year, I felt that my creation needed a rebranding. A makeover. Something that described this new phase of my university life and growing up. A blog grows as you grow, and therefore, I’ve decided to bid Forever Fashion farewell. It’s been a good four years but it’s time to get serious.
Miss Mode – it’s a blog for people who adore the idea of style, taste, and self-expression. But, why “Miss Mode”? “Miss” is the word used to address young girls my age, and the people behind the blog. “Mode” is French for fashion, and as we’re all supposes to know, France is the birthplace of fashion (I also took it as a subject in school, so I’m half-lingual in the language of love). The name describes every girl who has a public love affair with fashion and the art around it. GO TO www.missmode.co.za
So this is a message to you, reader. Miss Mode was created with the purpose to keep you looking fine. It’s here to aid you in all your style missteps. We want to get to know you. We want to be here as a guide to looking the best that you can – plus we’ll throw in a few news snippets that are of importance.
We look forward to the future, as fashion’s always on the move. In the words of Heidi Klum, one day you're in & the next you're out.
